“I love you too.” I grinned through a kiss, reluctantly trying to ease myself away from Phil’s possessive grasp.

“Don’t leave.” He moaned, holding my waist and tightening his cuddle against me. “Please. Just… I don’t know. Hide in the wardrobe with me or something.”

“Phil, do I look like I want to do this?” I smirked, then indicated to my blank expression, making it pretty obvious I wanted nothing more than to lie here in Phil’s bed beside him, consumed in his arms. Even so, Phil made a screwed-up face, refusing to loosen the grip.

“PHIL!” I screamed as my eyelids flew open, bathed in a cold sweat. I stared into dark space, my breathing ragged and shaky and my throat sore from screaming.
“Dan? What’s the matter?!” Phil shot up, immediately wrapping an arm around me in an attempt to calm me down.
“Oh, oh thank god, Phil, you’re still here.” I threw my arms around him, embracing him tightly as if I couldn’t bear to let him go.
